Abstract
This experiment was conducted at Inshas Poultry breeding station, Animal Production Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center. The experiment was carried out on the Matrouh and Silver Montazah strains which used 120 female + 12 male for each strain .Birds were reared from 24 to 40 weeks of age under the same conditions of ventilation, humidity, but reared under the different hours of lighting program and dietary crude protein levels , water and feeding offered ad-libitum during trail period . Birds were divide equally into four groups each contains 30 females+ 3 males and each group has three replicates each in 10 females + 1male. The groups were as follows: 1- The first group was taken 17 hours lighting /day + 16% dietary protein in diets (control group). 2- The second group was taken 17 hours lighting /day + 18% dietary protein in diets. 3- The third group was taken 15 hours lighting /day + 16% dietary protein in diets. 4- The fourth group was taken 15 hours lighting /day + 18% dietary protein in diets. During the experiment, the following productive, physiological and immunological measurements were taken. The most important results obtained were as follows:
1- There was no significant different between groups of 17 and 15 h lighting day and between groups of protein levels 18 and 16% in diets, while the group take 18% protein in the diet gave the lower fed intake and improved feed conversion compared with groups which take 16% protein in the diets. 2- The group reared under 17 h lighting /day + 16% dietary protein gave the best egg weight and egg mass compared with groups rearing under 15 h lighting /day and groups had18% dietary protein gave the high egg weight, egg mass and egg production %
